The importance of dental check-ups, even if you are not experiencing any pain.

One of the great myths is to think that if it doesn’t hurt, there’s no problem. In dentistry, many conditions progress without pain in their early stages.

Early tooth decay may not cause any discomfort. Periodontal disease can progress without obvious symptoms. By the time pain appears, the problem is usually more advanced.

That is why we recommend an annual check-up (or every six months, depending on the case). During these visits, we do not only look for cavities: we evaluate gums, bite, the condition of restorations, and take X-rays if necessary.

Early detection always means simpler, less invasive and more economical treatments.

In addition, check-ups help to resolve doubts and adjust personalised hygiene guidelines. We do not all need the same thing.

Taking care of your oral health is not just a matter of aesthetics. It is a matter of general health. And prevention will always be better than cure.
