Is an electric toothbrush or a manual toothbrush better?

The eternal question. Is it worth investing in an electric toothbrush?

The reality is that both can be effective if used correctly. However, electric toothbrushes tend to provide a more thorough clean, especially for people with limited manual dexterity, children, or patients with orthodontic appliances.

The automatic motion helps remove more plaque with less effort, and many models include a timer, which is very useful for achieving the recommended two minutes of brushing.

Of course, having a good toothbrush is no substitute for technique. Brushing quickly and haphazardly does not work, even if you have a state-of-the-art toothbrush.

Whatever you choose, remember to change the head or brush every three months and supplement with dental floss or interdental brushes.

The best option is not the most expensive one, but the one you actually use well every day.
